For the last fucking time,

Chinese is not a language.

It is a collection of dialects.

It’s one thing for foreigners to make this mistake, and under certain contexts, it’s fine to use “Chinese” to represent the collective languages. However, the minute a Chinese person accuses another Chinese person of not knowing the language just because they don’t speak your dialect is not just disgraceful, but proof of your lack of culture.

I’m specifically talking to the mass of Mandarin immigrants that assume every yellow-skinned-squinty-eyed person needs to speak Mandarin. I’m not saying all Mandarin new comers are bad; a bunch of my friends are in that group, but the ones that spit on the floor, talk loudly on the phone, push and shove their way onto the bus, cause traffic commotions by driving in the wrong fucking lane or taking 5 minutes to park a BMW you don’t deserve at a supermarket, the ones who get all, ” U DONT SEEPEEKU CHAINESE? IS NOODO SOOP.”

I mean the arrogant dipsticks who brought down our global image, then assumed because we are now the biggest manufacturer of processed shit, we are free to do as we want. Please don’t get cocky, especially when you don’t have much of one to begin with.

In case you were wondering, some Mandarin lady asked the new kid if we had noodle soups, and the guy only spoke Cantonese Proper, which are the dialects from Guang Zhou/Hong Kong/ Macau. When he said he didn’t speak Mandarin, she spat out the engrish from above.

I taught her how to pronounced it properly afterwards, because I’m such a kind-hearted princess.

I only used minimum sarcasm too. :3
